Business Development Manager

Nexus Box™, a rapidly growing web and mobile app development and marketing agency, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development and Studio Manager to lead our team of responsible, talented, and down-to-earth web development and marketing professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing standard workflow structures, managing and overseeing workflows, liaising between clients and the corresponding team to ensure project goals are aligned, and providing guidance and support to facilitate the accomplishment of assigned tasks. Additionally, the Business Development and Studio Manager will be responsible for administrative work, including reviewing and negotiating contracts, providing regular reports to key stakeholders, client invoicing, and office administration as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement standard workflow structures and organize existing processes
• Liaise between clients and the corresponding team to ensure project goals are aligned.
• Plan, schedule, manage, and oversee workflows
• Design and develop website architecture
• Manage the design, development, and/or maintenance of website and/or mobile app development projects from conception to implementation.
• Take requirements, provide scope documentation, and raise/assign JIRAs for our developers.
• Provide guidance and support and coordinate communication flow for the team to facilitate the accomplishment of assigned tasks
• Work with developers and creatives to ensure that project timelines and milestones are met and stay within budget.
• Perform Quality Assurance tests
• Weigh and make decisions to enhance the work and/or development process
• Administrative work – including but not limited to reviewing and/or negotiating contracts, providing regular reports to key stakeholders, client invoicing, and office administration as needed.

Requirements:

• Background in computer science
• Experience in project management and business development, preferably in the web or software development industry
• Basic coding skills preferred to better understand the development process
• Extensive knowledge of the website development process
• Familiarity with technical terms
• Strong leadership qualities
• Amazing organizational skills; can keep track of projects with a keen eye for detail
• Highly motivated self-starter
• Able to think outside the Box™ with a solution-focused can-do attitude
• Dynamic and highly adaptable
• Able to present well and think on your feet
• Not afraid of paperwork
• Not afraid to ask questions to get a deeper understanding of the issues/concerns at hand.
• Must leave the drama at home
• Great at making and delivering presentations
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to relate to technical, managerial, and creative team members
• Great at planning and writing scope documents
• Willing to travel in the NOVA area as needed and host booths at / attend potential trade shows.
• Familiarity with JIRA and ASANA is a plus
